George Bush Library in College Station
Well, I’m a Longhorn. So, I never really spent much time in College Station but today we met there in preparation for a live streaming and DVD event we’ll be producing with Texas Parks and Wildlife and the Buffalo Soldier outreach program (more on that soon) in February.
Near the entrance is this cool sculpture that has pieces of the actual Berlin Wall. It just made me think about freedom and how it’s progression can be an unstoppable force.
I guess that’s how I feel about the journey of empowering youth Not many folks would have predicted the tearing down of that wall when it happened. But some who were close saw the cracks as they were being formed.
As I travel across the state setting up tours and workshops, searching for talented and engaged youth to become media proteges, I see glimpses of what’s to come. I see talent and ambition. I see businesses, teachers and individuals who are willing to support our vision. I see greatness unfolding before me and it keeps me energized and focused.
We are laying the proper foundation for lasting change and I am priviledged to be a part of the process.
